Questions

Does a wet room need anything special?

Yes: the whole floor and the lower walls are tanked (waterproofed) before tiling, and the floor is laid to a fall towards the drain.

Do kitchen electrics need certification?

New circuits, such as for an oven or hob, must meet Part P of the Building Regulations and be certified.
